Leeds League Premiership:
York Vikings 59
- Rawthorpe Cobras 95

York Vikings continued missing some key players, from their first team when hosting last years league winners Rawthorpe Cobras.

Rawthorpe Cobras came with a strong team to York and quickly showed in the first quarter why they won the league last year, by managing to easily take apart the Vikings defence and score 24 points. On the flip side Vikings struggled to score and managed to only have 9 points, mainly due to Jonny Copley's 7 points in the quarter.

The difficult first quarter got under the skin of the Vikings players and this affected the play in the 2nd quarter. Cobras known for their excellent three point shooting, managed to score 5 three pointers in the 2nd quarter. Vikings got a bit better on the offensive end towards the end of the quarter. Half time score 50 - 24 for Cobras.

Cobras continued to not be stoppable offensively, but on the other hand Vikings kept improving on the offensive end. Cobras scored another 24 points, but Vikings managed to also get 19 to make the third quarter more respectable.

The fourth quarter was much of the same with Cobras winning that one as well 21 - 16 and despite the continuous improvement by the Vikings, the Cobras took a dominant win.

Game MVP: Jonny Copley
