With the Prem Team having struggled to field teams due to injuries etc., the Vikings first team finally managed to get a team together facing league leaders Leeds Demons.

As a result the team started slowly due to rust and struggled to find chemistry. Leeds Demons came out strong scoring 17 points, while the home team only managing 8 points, with Adam Wright scoring 6 of them.

Things for the York team improved in the 2nd quarter, with Vikings coming out strong with Andy Capes and Jonny Copley now taking the lead and matching up well to the Demons. However Demons still managed to eke out a lead in the 2nd quarter with 17 - 16 and as such Vikings went into the 2nd half with a 10 point deficit.

Despite the improvement in the 2nd quarter the second half was a return to the first quarter. Leeds Demons managed to take advantage from missed shots and turnovers converting them on fast breaks and continuously pressuring the home team. This resulted in a dominant quarter for the team from Leeds with a 24 - 8 score.

With the Demons now 26 points ahead the defences lightened up and both teams had their highest scoring quarters. Demons continued to play strong fast paced basketball and comfortably won the game.
