Team 1 travelled to Huddersfield to play league leaders and undefeated Rawthorpe Cobras for the final game of the year.

Vikings started out slowly. With Rawthorpe clogging the lanes Vikings struggled to find any space to score. While Cobras managed to take advantage of this and went on a 9 - 0 run for the first 4 minutes of the game.. An offensive adjustment meant Vikings started scoring, but Rawthorpe's amazing three point accuracy, made it difficultly to close the gap. Cobras took the first quarter 24 - 12.

A switch to a 3 - 2 zone defense threw Cobras off for the start of the 2nd quarter, with Vikings managing to go on a run and close the gap to within 4 points. The home team adjusted and started making some 3 point shots well beyond the arc and as such stretched York defences to also allow Rawthorpe to attack the center of the zone. With their accuracy, Cobras managed to win the 2nd quarter as well, resulting in a half time score of 57 - 36.

The 3 point shooting of Cobras continued for the start of the second half leading to a 15 - 7 run for the first 6 minutes of the 2nd half. A time out and a switch to a high man to man allowed Vikings to play the league leaders even for the rest of the quarter.

Starting the 4th quarter the score was 87 - 58 for the home team. Having had some momentum finishing the 3rd quarter Vikings started the 4th strong with a 8 - 0 run in 2 minutes forcing Cobras to a quick time out. With Cobras continuing to hit their long range 3 pointers, they stemmed the Vikings assault. Although Vikings won the last quarter Cobras take the game.

Notes: Niall Murphy had a season high 24 points and Jamie Boynton matched his season high and had a Viking career best three 3 pointers. Cobras had an amazing 18 3 pointers in the game.
