The Prem Team made its 2025 debut playing away against the Horsforth Hustlers. Being the return game of the last game of 2024, where the team managed to take a narrow victory, Vikings were looking to make it 2 out of 2.

The York team started out well and managed to go ahead for the first half behind Adam Wright and Jonny Copley. However, for the second half the team could not stop the Hustlers and struggled to score on the other end. This resulted in the Hustlers going on a 17 - 5 run and winning the quarter 23 - 15.

The Vikings managed to recover for the start of the second quarter and started to work down the lead for the first 4 minutes, before once again not being able to stop Hustlers or able to score, allowing the Hustlers to go on a 18 - 5 run. With this the Hustlers had a commanding lead of 18 points at the end of the half.

The third quarter was no different again. Once again Vikings started out the quarter great, going on a 8 - 2 run. After the first 4 minutes the Vikings could again not score until a bucket by Sam Thornhill at the very end of the quarter. This allowed the Hustlers to score 15 unanswered points in between Vikings baskets.

With the game in essence over now, the away team managed to losen up and maintain a good standard of basketball for the entire quarter and making the last quarter a close affair.
