Leeds League Division 2:
Holme Valley Demons (1) 76
- York Vikings (2) 44

Team 2 travelled to Huddersfield to play league leaders Holme Valley Demons, still looking for their first win.

Demons and Vikings both played a zone. With Dan Day anchoring the defence and Anthony Holdsworth and Matthew Theakstone wrecking havoc at the perimeter, the Demons struggled to score to begin with. On offense Vikings played their best offensive quarter. Patiently moving the ball, filling the gaps and either attacking the basket with Matthew Theakstone, Mohcen Cheref and Dan Day or swinging the ball with Stefan März, Anthony Holdsworth and Seb Shepherdson all hitting open 3's. This led to Vikings winning the first quarter 20 -14.

However, in the second quarter the home team starting hitting mid-range shots and picking the gaps in the interior. While York started turning the ball over. The lead was quickly eroded and Demons looked like they were going to pull away. With a couple of big threes (Tom Lindley also hitting one) Vikings managed to keep it within 2 and the half time score was 31- 29 for Holme Valley.

Demons picked up the pressure, even though still employing a 3-2 zone, the perimeter defenders pressed well beyond the three point line. This enabled them to deny the three and force the visiting team into quick decisions. Vikings were unable to capitalize and find the open spots, which resulted in the Demons pushing further ahead and winning the 3rd quarter 21-10.

In the fourth quarter things did not improve and the offense stalled entirely. Demons continued with their game plan and as a result they had a commanding 4th quarter to clearly win the game.

Notes: This is the first time this season that 4 players made a 3 in a game for Team 2 and at an above 50% rate.
