Vikings seconds were back in action facing for the first time this season local rivals Jorvik Warriors.

The first quarter was quite a low scoring affair with the Vikings controlling the pace of the game. A well drilled Warriors team managed to match this and the first quarter score was 12 - 8 for the Vikings.

However, things changed drastically in the second quarter, with the Warriors applying a press. The Vikings team once again struggled against a press and to take care of the ball. Rushed decisions led to high level of turnovers and bad shots, leading to quick baskets by the home team who also started hitting their outside shot. Vikings went scoreless for 6 minutes, white Warriors scored 15 points. Finally, Jonathan Wetherley managed to score with two free throws. However, Warriors continued their pressure throughout the quarter and as a result the 2nd quarter ended 26 - 7 for Warriors.

With the start of the second half, this still continued and Warriors went on a 12 - 2 run for the first 3 minutes. The lead now was 25 points for Warriors. With the Warriors letting of on their press, the Vikings managed to play their game once more and play the rest of the quarter evenly with the Warriors. Third quarter score was 30 - 21.

Despite the game being decided the final quarter was still competitive, with Vikings having at one point closed the gap to 10 points. Warriors managed to counter and close out the game.
