Vikings two's were hosting the Demons of Holme Valley. After having lost the away game in Holmfirth, the York team was looking to tie the regular season match up 1-1.

Things did not start well for the home team. Unable to hit the outside shots and the lanes being clogged, the Vikings only managed to score 4 points for the entire quarter. On the defensive side the Vikings zone did trouble the Demons, but the team from Holme Valley managed to still get 9 points and win the first quarter.

The second quarter changed things dramatically with Mark Strage hitting the first three pointer for Vikings and as a result opening up the defence of Demons. Mark Strage hit 2 more three's (making it his third game in a row with 3 threes). With a number of players contributing offensively and the defence improving, Vikings won the second quarter 21 - 8. Half time score 25 - 17 for the home team.

Vikings defence stood steadfast throughout the remainder of the game, allowing Demons to score 9 and 10 points in the last two quarters. While the offence slowed down a little bit, the team got contribution across the board to keep ahead and built the lead, with 15 points in each quarter.

Notes:

• Mark Strage had a Vikings career high of 13 points and had his 3rd consecutive game in double figures and scoring at least 1 three. Stefan Marz had his 9th consecutive game scoring at least 1 three.

• Vikings 19 point win, erased the 16 point loss against Holme Valley away.

• Both teams continue to be undefeated at home (5 games) since the start of the season.
