For the penultimate game of the regular season Vikings hosted he Raiders from Harrogate. With the teams all close together a win was essential.

The Vikings had close to a full squad and fielded 10 players. Therefore, in unusual move the York team started the game in a full court press. This immediately brought the desired results and the team went quickly ahead. At around the 5 minute mark when the whole bench came on the score was 17 - 5 for the home team. Stephen Rowley came in with a hot hand and scored the next 9 points for Vikings matching his previous career high. With the second unit continuing the press, the first quarter ended 31 - 8 for the home team.

The Raiders adjusted well for the second quarter and took advantage of the Vikings not pressing full court anymore. Raiders went on to win the quarter 24 - 13. Half time score 44 - 32 for the York team.

Vikings defence improved in the third quarter containing the Raiders to 11 points. The York team transitioned well from defence to offence and scored 16 in the quarter.

Keeping the pressure on for the last quarter and starting to improve their accuracy from the three point range, Vikings comfortably took the last quarter 20 - 6 to take the W.
