Vikings seconds were back in action again looking to stay perfect at home. The opponent: Calderdale Hawks, who sit second in the league.

Vikings started of well going ahead 5 - 2 in the first 2 minutes. However, very quickly Ropa Bindura of the Hawks had a personal 2 minutes run, scoring 9 consecutive points. Hawks scored another basket, to have a 11 point run before Vikings scored again. A couple of big three's (1 by Mark Strage and 1 by Vali Moldovan) helped bring the home team back in the fold. First quarter score 17 - 15 for the away team.

The York team continued on getting back in the game, this time led by the strong defensive efforts and subsequent baskets of Matt Theakstone and Jacob Cosquer. By the 6th minute Vikings managed to go ahead by 2 points. However, Vikings could not keep the momentum going reverting to more static play and struggling to secure the rebounds. Hawks once again went on a run and closed out the quarter 11 - 2. Half time score 34 - 27 for the team from Calderdale.

Vikings continued to struggle on offence, with lack of ball movement and the shots not falling. On the other end Hawks managed to attack the middle with their bigs, continuing their run. With Hawks having gone ahead by 15 points, Vikings switched to a zone to try to secure the paint. However, Calderdale quickly adjusted and started hitting some big threes. This resulted with the away team dominating the quarter with a 23 - 8 score and heading into the final quarter with a comfortable 22 point lead.

The Vikings play did not improve for the start of the 4th, with Hawks extending their lead to 27 points before a 3 by Stefan Marz opened up the scoring for Vikings in the final quarter. The home team got back to playing better basketball, but the game was over by this point.
