LBL Division 2:
Harrogate Raiders (1) 77
- York Vikings (2) 50

After a great start to the season, Vikings were looking to build on the momentum. Jacob Cosquer was not available for the game, but Stephen Rowley made his debut for the season. Nelvin Lau was also selected for this game for his first game of the season.

Vikings started out the game setting up as in their game against the Hustlers. However, the Raiders employed a 2-3 zone defence which threw the team off and created numerous turnovers and missed shots, which in turn allowed for the Raiders to quickly respond and score. The team was unable to adjust on the court and a time out in the third minute, by which point Harrogate had already gone ahead 13-2, was called to quickly make the necessary adjustments. Although the team still was not able to fully work the offence, the defence improved and the Raiders were slowed down. Nevlin Lau entered the game to help with the offence, but within less than a minute of playing time Nelvin landed on a foot and was out for the rest of the game, leaving the team with 7 players. First quarter ended with Harrogate ahead 22 - 6.

In the first part of the 2nd quarter the team finally managed to put some good offences together while maintaining the defensive intensity. Half way through the quarter the Vikings managed to reduce the gap to 11 points. However, once again the team started rushing the offence allowing the Raiders to capitalize on the mistakes and build the lead up again. The 2nd quarter finished 16 - 14 for Raiders, with a half time score of 38 - 20.

After a big half time talk, Vikings came out with a plan, going back to moving the ball, patient offences and stingy defences. This led once again to a run by the Vikings, reducing the Raiders lead down to 11 by the 6th minute of the second half. However, the York team started losing their focus once again, which resulted in the home team going on another run and rebuilding their lead. Quarter 3 score was 23 - 23.

The Vikings proved they could keep up with the Raiders as they improved every quarter. However, the big gap was a tall task to recover in the last quarter. After a couple of minutes of focused basketball, the Vikings could only keep on par with the Raiders. As a result in a final attempt to try to close the gap, the York team tried to speed up the game, which did not work and the Raiders took the final quarter 10 - 7, with Raiders taking the win.
