With a number of players unavailable, a few team 2 players had to play up. 7 players travelled to Leeds to face the Yorkshire Wizards.

Yorkshire Wizards quickly took advantage of their height and speed. Vikings managed to adjust, but Wizards' Bros hit 3 consecutive three's to give Wizards a 21 - 14 first quarter win.

With the perimeter shot not falling, the Vikings struggled to consistently score in the second quarter. Wizards on the other hand kept hitting the outside shot while also attacking the middle. The second quarter ended 22 - 13 for the home team, which meant a half time score of 43 -27.

Vikings adjusted their offence and started attacking the basket more consistently. With that, the team from York managed to score 22 points in the quarter. However, like in the first half Wizards kept scoring at similar pace as before, with 23 points.

As a result the Vikings started the last quarter with 17 points behind. Despite the low numbers, the teams improvement on offence gave everyone a second wind on the defensive end to finally limit the Wizards offence. Vikings managed to score 22 points once again, whilst limiting the Leeds team to 14. Despite losing the game, the last quarter effort by all players reduced the point difference to 8 points.

Notes: Charlie McNichol had a Vikings career high of 13 points. Jonny Copley tied his Vikings career high, while Matt Theakstone had a season high.
