Vikings first went to Harrogate to face the Yorkshire Royals and get back to winning ways.

The Royals started of the game strongly with great outside player rotation saw some early confident baskets, and a quick lead of 9-4. Eventually the Vikings started to get going and managed to go slightly ahead behind some sharp shooting 3s from Andy Capes and Ali Lyons to take the first quarter 22 - 15.

In the second quarter the home team managed to force turnovers and score in transition. Vikings still managed to hit some mid- to long- range baskets to stay in the game. Royals take the 2nd quarter 21 - 17, while Vikings managed to maintain a slight lead with a 39 - 36 score to go into the second half.

With the score close both teams came out in the second half playing tight defence leading to the lowest scoring quarter to the game. Royals however managed to hit a few more shots to win the quarter 12-7 and take a 2 point lead heading into the last quarter.

The intensity of the game continued into the last quarter with everything to play for. Vikings defence forced Royals to try to win the game from the perimeter. With every Vikings basket, Royals managed to get back and hit some big 3s, hitting 4 in the quarter. With 90 seconds to go it was still only 1 point separating the teams, the intensity cranked up another notch with the team from York going on a full court press. However, the team from Harrogate kept control and managed to just get the edge and win by 1 point.
