After winning the opening game, Vikings firsts were looking to make it 2 for 2. Vikings travelled to Knottingley to face the Cougars.

The first quarter was very much a back and forth game, with Andy Capes finding his range, making three 3 pointers and contributing with 8 points of the 15 points scored by the Vikings in the first quarter. Cougars matched the same total.

Ali Lyons opened the scoring for the 2nd quarter, putting in another great performance after his MVP performance the previous game. Cougars matched until the middle of the quarter, when several stops and a 3 by Ali Lyons and 5 points by Matt Theakstone, led to a 8 - 0 run for the York team. After that the game was once again even. 2nd quarter score 21 - 17 for the away team. Half time score 36 - 32 for Vikings.

The third quarter kept in line with the majority of the game, with baskets being exchanged until the 8th minute. Then Cougars turned it on and for the last 2 minutes went on a 12 - 4 run. This resulted in the 3rd quarter being won by Cougars 22 - 15.

The Vikings started the last quarter 3 points behind. A strong consistent effort by Vikings managed to bring the Vikings even with the Cougars finally in the 9th minute of the final quarter. However, following a strong effort, several uncharacteristic turnovers allowed the Cougars to go on a quick 6 - 0 run to close out the game.

Notes: 4 players had double figures. Ali Lyons and Jonny Copley had their 2nd double digit games in a row. Charlie McNichol, followed his strong debut with Vikings, with 11 points.
