Vikings final game of 2025 was away against local rival Jorvik Warriors. After having won the home game, the Vikings firsts were looking to finish the year on a high. Regretfully, the majority of the starting five were unavailable for the game.

Vikings started out slowly being surprised by Warriors #99 (Stanley), who did not play in the previous game, who could not miss and scored 12 of the Warriors 13 points in the first 4 minutes. Only Andy Capes was able to counter making 5 points. A time out, allowed for the Vikings to adjust and the remainder of the quarter both teams played each other on par. First quarter score 25 -17.

The Vikings having now adjusted to the new scoring threat, the game between the two York teams turned into a back and forth. The home team managed to take a 2 point win for the quarter, making a half time score of 43 - 33.

The second half continued very much the same way, with neither team being able to go on a run. Vikings managed to take the third quarter 13 - 12.

The fourth quarter went slightly different with Warriors going on a run first, followed by a run from the Vikings. With just under three minutes to go the lead the home team had build in the first 4 minutes of the game was still there. However, at this stage desperation to close the gap led to some poor decision making by Vikings. This lead to turnovers and bad shots allowing Warriors to go on one fast break after another. In those final 2.5 minutes the home team went on a 13 - 0 run to make the game look more one sided than it was.
