HBA Championship:
York Vikings 61
- Hull Uni Hawks (2) 28

The York Vikings faced the Hull University Hawks second team for the Championship. Having lost in the cup against the Hawks first team the Vikings were looking to fare better versus the second team and start a winning streak.

The game started of well, with the twin towers (Dan Day and Thomas Marks) dominating the first quarter, offensively, rebounding wise and defensively to help the York team win the quarter 10 - 3.

Newly signed Tyler Paton Pottage made his mark in the 2nd quarter, scoring 13 points, to help the Vikings win the quarter 23 - 9. Half time score was 35 - 12.

The third quarter was a more even affair, with the ever present Dan Day, continuing to dominate on both ends of the court. The Hawks did a full court press and got a couple of big threes, but the Vikings still managed to win the quarter 16 - 12.

Dan Day's outstanding performance continued in the 4th quarter adding 8 more points on his way to a career high 26 points. Dan's performance was not just in scoring, but his rebounding was well in double digits and he was a menace on the defensive end as well. Final quarter ended 12 - 4 for the York team and the Vikings took their second consecutive win in the league, with a dominant performance.
