HBA Championship:
York Vikings 49
- Hull Kings Orange 65

After having won two in a row Vikings were looking to make have the first 3 game win streak of the season against Hull Kings Orange.

Vikings started the game very slowly, unable to contain the Kings, who found their range immediately making 4 three pointers in the first quarter. The York team also struggled scoring on offence only managing 6 points, led by Tyler Paton Pottage who played his first game since November, whilst still nursing a knee injury. The Hull team went ahead 20 - 6 in the first quarter.

Vikings adjusted in the 2nd quarter and tried to mount a counter. The York team improved both offensively and defensively, but the Kings were to strong and managed to win the quarter 15 - 12. Half time score 35 - 18 for the Kings Orange.

Encouraged by the improvement in 2nd quarter, Vikings came out in the third quarter with purpose and led by their 3 bigs Dan Day, Mohcen Cheref and Hussein Kahil. Vikings strong inside game on both ends of the court, led to a strong performance in the third quarter, winning it 21 - 13.

Having cut down the lead to single digits, the Vikings were hopeful to make the final quarter interesting. However, Kings put a quick end to the counter by Vikings by tightening their defence and forcing the York teams into turnovers whilst also picking up their scoring to win the last quarter 17 - 9 and with that the game.

Game MVP: Dan Day (his 8th consecutive game in the HBA league with double figures)
