HBA Championship:
York Vikings 31
- Hull Hornets North 50

After the loss in the previous week, York Vikings were looking to finish the season on a high. For the final game Vikings were facing Hull Hornets North.

The game for the first quarter was tightly fought, with both teams exchanging baskets. Hornets managed to eke out a 1 point lead in the first quarter, winning it 9 - 8.

The physical and slow pace of the game continued in the second quarter with both teams very evenly matched. Once again Hornets managed to go ahead slightly wining the quarter 7 - 6. Half time score: 16 - 14.

Center Dan Day, having led the team in scoring in the HBA, had to stop playing due to illness after the first half. With a key player down for the Vikings, Hornets started to capitalize on their new found height advantage scoring slightly more in quarter, whilst Vikings still continued to struggle on the offensive end. Hornets North won the third quarter 11 - 6, and thus took a 7 point lead to the fourth quarter.

Vikings finally managed to improve a bit on the offensive end, but still only managed to score 11 points in the 4th quarter. However, Hornets continued to attack the basket and started to hit shot after shot whilst also dominating the boards to go on to have a high scoring quarter with 23 points and secure the win.
